has been involved in children’s and family ministry for about as long
as he can remember. Starting as a volunteer in the Sunday School at his
local church, he is now just as likely to be found on the stage at
Spring Harvest or running a children’s camp in the heart of Dorset. He
has worked at Scripture Union as a Children’s and Family Evangelist,
tutored at Moorlands College, and most recently worked as the Children’s
and Family Adviser for the Diocese of Winchester. He has created
holiday club programmes, developed teaching and devotional resources,
run a beach mission and led teams of volunteers at numerous events.
Lighthouse Ministries enables him to draw on this rich experience to
support churches and organisations who want to build creative and
thriving ministries amongst the children and families in their
communities. He combines his extensive experience with the flexibility
and creativity needed to develop ministries suited to the local context.
Andy
has a BA in Applied Theology from the University of Gloucestershire
(Moorlands College) and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel and Development, with a Certificate in Training Practice. He
has also completed a Foundation Course in Transforming Church Conflict
with Bridgebuilders and a CYM module in Supporting Professional
Development in Work-based Learning.
Andrew is a former solicitor and until July 2020 was the vicar of All Saints Swanage. While in Swanage he helped set up The Wave Youth & Children’s Ministry (the
Swanage equivalent of PACE). Since retirement he’s joined Canford
Magna Church in Wimborne where he helps out preaching and teaching. But
he also has a heart for youth and children’s work and for churches
working together to spread the gospel. Andrew aims to support the work of PACE using both his legal skills and ministerial experience.
